about nccThe National Cadet Corps ( ncc full form)is the Indian military cadets' corps that has its headquarters located situated in New Delhi. It is accessible to both college and high school students on a voluntary basis.The National Cadet Corps in India is a non-profit institution that recruits cadets from high schools, universities and colleges across India. Cadets are provided with basic military instruction on the use of small arms as well as parades. Officers and cadets are no obliged to enter military service after they have completed their education, however they receive a higher importance than normal candidates when it comes to selections depending on their achievements within the Corps.

Aims of NCC
1.To develop character traits and courage, along with commandership, practice in leadership, spirituality, a spirit of sportsmanship and adventure and the value of selfless service in youngsters so that they can become active citizen.
2.To develop a human capital that is organized, well-trained and enthusiastic young people to give leadership throughout the entirety of life, not just who are in the Armed Forces and be always available to serve the nation.
Oath
"I do hereby solemnly promise that I will serve my motherland most truly and loyally and that, I will abide by the rules and regulations of the National Cadet Crops. Further under the command and control of my commanding officer I will participate in every camp most sincerely and wholeheartedly".

The cadets in the national cadets' corps make an oath of solemnity to ensure that we will never cease to defend our unity within india.We vow to be responsible and disciplined member of our nation.We will be engaged in constructive community service in an attitude of kindness and selflessness for the welfare of our fellow human beings.
The NCC in India was formed in 1948 by the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948. The Act was passed on July 15, 1948. National Cadet Corps can be thought of as the successor to the University Officers Training Corps (UOTC) which was established in 1942 by the British in 1942. British during 1942. In the course of World War II, the UOTC did not conform to the requirements set by the British. This led to the belief that better programs should be devised, to assist more children in a more effective manner, even in peace time. A committee led by Pandit H.N. Kunzru recommended a cadet group to be formed within schools and colleges at a national level. In 1948, the National Cadet Corps Act was signed by Governor General and on July 15, 1948 The National Cadet Corps was created.
In the conflict of 1965 and 1971 with the United States and Pakistan, NCC cadets were the second line of defense. They organized camps to assist the factories that made ordinance, and supplied weapons and ammunition at the front. They they also functioned as patrol units to take down enemies paratroopers. The NCC Cadets worked alongside Civil Defence authorities and actively involved in rescue efforts and traffic management. Following the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak conflict , the NCC syllabus was revised. Instead of being merely the second line of defence NCC syllabus emphasized more on the development of leadership and officer-like traits. The training in the military the NCC student received eliminated and the emphasis was put on other areas , such as youth management and social service.
